The history of Murano Glass dates back to 1291, when the Venetian glass production was transferred to the island of Murano to prevent fire damages to the city.

On Murano island was born the profession of the Murano Glass Master, the only ones in the world who could create this glass artwork exclusively on the island. This marked the birth of the “100% Murano”.

The “Mastri Vetrai” of Murano, the real artists of glass were never allowed to leave the Republic of Venice, and to this day jealously guard this millennial art by creating unique and inimitable pieces.

This historical craft has survived for more than one thousand years and has been handed down from father to son, conferring every product an exclusivety and soul of its own.
